Overview
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to Europe’s clean energy transition as a Europe-Russia Analyst, supporting efforts in tracking CO2 emissions and analyzing sanctions on Russian fossil fuels.
Key Responsibilities
- Support analysis of Russia’s fossil fuel exports and the impacts of sanctions.
- Lead the development of reports and briefings on European fossil fuel trade and the energy crisis.
- Track and analyze EU CO2 emissions by country and sector using new data tools.
- Create visualizations and communication products to make research accessible.
- Engage with media, policymakers, and NGOs through written analysis and expert commentary.
- Collaborate with team members to respond to geopolitical developments swiftly and effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with data related to Europe’s clean energy transition or decarbonization.
- Proven ability to produce reports, briefings, and policy analysis from research data.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills in English.
- Experience working with policymakers and understanding policy levers for decarbonization.
- Demonstrated collaboration with research organizations and media outlets.
