UK Commercial Counsel Public Sector @Elastic

Overview

Elastic enables everyone to find answers in real-time using data at scale. They are looking for a Corporate Counsel with 4+ years of experience to join their International Commercial Legal department. This position is based in the United Kingdom and reports to the UK & Emerging Region Legal Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full legal lifecycle of Public Sector contracts, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
• Support Sales & RFP Teams during procurement processes by drafting legal responses and advising on terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams across various regions.
• Provide advice on legal and regulatory developments affecting the business.
• Enhance workflow processes between the Legal Department and other departments.

Requirements

• Qualified to practice law in the UK with 4+ years of experience in technology contracts.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement law and contract law.
• Ability to balance legal risks with business strategy.
• Prior experience with public sector technology contracts is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
