Overview

The Tax Justice Network Africa (TJNA) is seeking a Policy Research and Advocacy Manager. This role is responsible for leading the organization’s policy unit and advancing its goals through research, advocacy, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the organization’s policy unit and oversee research coordination, policy engagement, and technical support for advocacy initiatives.
Work closely with the Executive Director, senior management, members, and strategic partners.
Provide thought leadership and guide the organization’s policy agenda.
Lead policy advocacy initiatives, coordinate programmes across TJNA’s thematic areas, and manage research and knowledge generation activities.
Guide the development of evidence-based policy outputs such as policy briefs, analytical reports, and position papers.
Engage with policymakers, government institutions, civil society organisations, and regional networks to advance TJNA’s advocacy objectives across Africa.

Requirements

At least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Experience in economic justice, tax policy, or public policy advocacy is an advantage.
Strong research, programme management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and fast-paced environments.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an added advantage.
