Overview

The WASH Officer at Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa) will support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water, sanitation, and hygiene activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the WASH Specialist in planning, organizing, and implementing WASH projects.
Ensure WASH projects meet technical standards and are delivered on time.
Supervise field activities and support community engagement.
Contribute to reporting, data collection, and capacity-building efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Health, Water Resources Management, or related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in WASH program implementation.
Strong technical knowledge of water supply, sanitation design, and hygiene promotion.
Essential computer skills in Microsoft Office and experience in Electronic Data Collection.
Desirable skills include experience with AutoCAD, GIS, and familiarity with WASH data tools.
Strong interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills.
