The College of Europe (Bruges Campus) is hiring an Academic Assistant for graduates with a strong background in economics and a passion for European integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching Support: Deliver tutorials, assist with supervising master’s theses, and provide academic guidance to students.
- Faculty Collaboration: Act as a liaison between professors and students while supporting faculty with research and course preparation.
- Academic Coordination: Help organize departmental activities such as guest lectures, study trips, and academic events.
- Research Contribution: Conduct independent research and produce at least one academic paper during the year, focusing on EU economic policy or regulation.
Requirements
- A graduate degree (Bachelor’s + Master’s or equivalent).
- A solid foundation in economics, particularly macroeconomics and econometrics.
- Strong knowledge of European integration.
- Excellent academic performance.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
- A genuine interest in teaching and research.
- Flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
