The Simons Foundation is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing strategies aimed at advancing scientific research.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Aligning marketing strategies with organisational research priorities and objectives
- Enhancing visibility of funding, research, and academic opportunities
- Acting as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on communications and positioning
- Ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms and audience touchpoints
- Developing integrated marketing plans with measurable goals and performance indicators
- Managing audience segmentation strategies to target researchers, institutions, and stakeholders
- Designing audience journeys that encourage engagement, applications, and participation
- Partnering with editorial, digital, and creative teams to produce multimedia content
- Leading promotional strategies for events such as webinars, workshops, and symposia
- Overseeing campaign workflows, timelines, and content calendars
- Implementing optimisation strategies to improve engagement and campaign effectiveness
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or scientific/research experience is advantageous)
- Minimum five years of experience in integrated marketing, preferably in mission-driven environments
- Proven experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes
- Ability to communicate complex or technical subject matter effectively
- Strong editorial judgement and professional writing ability
- Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and analytics platforms
- Excellent project management and organisational capabilities
- Ability to interpret data and optimise campaign performance
Benefits
The role offers an annual salary range between $95,000 and $115,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee wellbeing and professional development.
