Overview
ACLED is seeking an Associate Corporate Content Designer to join their remote global team, responsible for transforming conflict data into compelling visual content for corporate audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop marketing materials emphasizing ACLED’s products as essential business tools.
- Design engaging social media carousels, infographics, and visual assets translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Produce multimedia content including video tutorials, slide decks, one-pagers, and client briefing templates.
- Craft visual narratives communicating the ROI, risk mitigation benefits, and competitive advantages of ACLED’s data.
- Design newsletter templates for different stakeholder segments.
- Build reusable design systems and templates for brand consistency and content production.
- Design landing pages and web sections for specific sectors (mining, insurance, strategic risk).
- Collaborate with web development teams to create compelling user experiences.
- Audit and refine website visuals for clarity and user engagement.
- Optimize visual content for accessibility, responsiveness, and SEO best practices.
- Create and design email marketing templates.
- Assist in executing email marketing campaigns and optimizing content.
- Maintain and organize visual asset libraries.
- Collaborate with sales and external teams for messaging alignment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Proven ability to create executive presentations and B2B marketing collateral.
- Strong visual storytelling skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating work for corporate or professional audiences.
- Experience designing email marketing templates; responsive HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow).
- Experience with tools like Asana, Salesforce, Mailchimp.
- Ability to optimize visual content for multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of GEO and SEO best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Native or fluent English skills (written and spoken).
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially with data.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-directed work style for remote work.
- Experience in B2B marketing communications or corporate content design.
- Ability to translate complex, technical information into clear, persuasive visual narratives.
- Understanding of how different audiences consume visual information.
- Bonus Qualifications: Experience with data visualization tools (Flourish, Tableau, Datawrapper), background in international affairs or conflict analysis, video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, After Effects), additional languages, experience in high-pressure environments, familiarity with AI-assisted design.
