    1. Administrator – Accreditation

    Position Details

    Job Title: Administrator
    Department: Accreditation Sub-Programme
    Location: South Africa
    Closing Date: 03 July 2026
    Contract: Permanent
    Salary: R338,106 per annum (excluding benefits)

    Role Overview

    Reporting to the Senior Manager for Accreditation, the successful candidate will support programme accreditation processes and provide administrative and operational assistance within the Accreditation Sub-programme.

    Key Responsibilities

    Programme Accreditation Support

    • Review and verify programme accreditation applications
    • Ensure compliance with CHE and SAQA requirements
    • Assess alignment with HEQSF standards

    Administrative Support

    • Maintain committee records and minutes
    • Record resolutions and committee decisions
    • Process programme accreditation information on internal systems

    Stakeholder Support

    • Assist with workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
    • Provide administrative support for training programmes
    • Support quality enhancement projects and operational activities

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, English, Information Management, Social Sciences, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years experience in higher education or information management
    • Strong report writing and analytical skills
    • Computer proficiency
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills
    • High attention to detail

    2. Administrator – Management of Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (M-HEQSF)

    Department: Management of Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework (M-HEQSF)

    Salary: R338,106 per annum (excluding benefits)

    Role Overview

    This role focuses on administrative coordination, research support, database management, documentation control, stakeholder coordination, and operational support within the HEQSF management division.

    Key Responsibilities

    Administrative Coordination

    • Develop and maintain document filing systems
    • Maintain directorate databases
    • Capture and manage information records
    • Archive meeting records and official documentation

    Meeting & Logistics Coordination

    • Coordinate meetings and workshops
    • Prepare agendas and meeting documentation
    • Arrange venues, catering, and equipment

    Financial & Operational Support

    • Process invoices and travel claims
    • Facilitate contracting and payment of peer academics
    • Reconcile general ledger statements

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Serve as the primary contact point
    • Respond to routine stakeholder queries
    • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships

    Minimum Requirements

    • Diploma in Administration, Management, or equivalent qualification
    • 2–3 years experience in office administration or similar role
    • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively within teams

    3. Senior Manager – Accreditation

    Job Title: Senior Manager – Accreditation
    Department: Accreditation Sub-Programme

    Salary Package: R1,317,384 per annum (inclusive of benefits)

    Role Overview

    The CHE seeks an experienced senior professional to lead accreditation management processes, coordinate quality assurance activities, manage staff, and contribute to institutional quality assurance strategy implementation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Leadership & Management

    • Manage accreditation processes for new programmes and qualifications
    • Lead accreditation evaluation processes
    • Manage and support staff within assigned portfolio

    Quality Assurance

    • Analyse accreditation applications and evaluation reports
    • Produce recommendations for Accreditation Committee decisions
    • Support development of quality assurance frameworks

    Strategic & Policy Support

    • Provide advice to higher education institutions
    • Report on accreditation trends and developments
    • Coordinate research projects related to quality assurance

    Committee Support

    • Support agenda preparation for Accreditation Committee meetings
    • Ensure high-quality documentation submissions
    • Collaborate with internal directorates and stakeholders

    Minimum Requirements

    • Master’s Degree (Education, Humanities, Social Sciences preferred)
    • PhD advantageous
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Higher Education and/or Quality Assurance
    • Minimum 3 years management experience
    • Strong knowledge of higher education policy and quality assurance systems
    • Strong leadership, communication, report writing, and digital literacy skills
