Application Security Engineer @Fin

Key Responsibilities

• Own and engineer tier-zero security capabilities for secure deployment and management of Fin.
• Design, build, and evolve customer-facing security features like authentication and SAML/SSO.
• Partner with engineering teams to build secure products and services throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform architecture reviews, threat modelling, and security assessments for new features and systems.
• Develop security tools, automation, and developer-facing building blocks for secure development.
• Lead application security initiatives across the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead security incident response efforts.
• Support the secure adoption of AI-assisted software development tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience in application security, product security, or security engineering within a SaaS environment.
• Strong software engineering skills with experience in production systems.
• Deep understanding of modern application security threats and secure software development practices.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, identity, or enterprise security capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in security incident response.
• Strong programming skills and experience building developer-focused solutions.
• Ability to communicate security concepts and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
• A pragmatic approach to balancing security and engineering velocity.
