Overview
Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead its programs and initiatives remotely. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in program management and campaign leadership within the non-profit or advocacy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee program and campaign execution, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and measurable outcomes.
- Serve as a central point of contact for cross-team collaboration, communication, and coordination.
- Implement project management standards and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and support senior leadership in strategic outreach.
- Proactively identify risks and develop systems to enhance organizational agility and decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven experience in campaign management, organizational leadership, or program delivery within non-profit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
- Strong skills in cross-team coordination, strategic planning, and project management.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively brief and influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with a flexible schedule aligned with North American time zones.
- Demonstrated capacity for managing multiple priorities in fast-paced growth environments.
- A passion for animal welfare, environmental issues, or advocacy work.
- Experience supporting senior leadership in nonprofits, advocacy, or public policy settings is desirable.
- Familiarity with project management tools and systems.
- Experience with external stakeholder engagement (partners, funders, policymakers).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Benefits
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000 USD annually, negotiable.
