Overview

Aquatic Life Institute (ALI) is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead its programs and initiatives remotely. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in program management and campaign leadership within the non-profit or advocacy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee program and campaign execution, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and measurable outcomes.
Serve as a central point of contact for cross-team collaboration, communication, and coordination.
Implement project management standards and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and support senior leadership in strategic outreach.
Proactively identify risks and develop systems to enhance organizational agility and decision-making.

Requirements

Proven experience in campaign management, organizational leadership, or program delivery within non-profit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
Strong skills in cross-team coordination, strategic planning, and project management.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively brief and influence senior stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with a flexible schedule aligned with North American time zones.
Demonstrated capacity for managing multiple priorities in fast-paced growth environments.
A passion for animal welfare, environmental issues, or advocacy work.
Experience supporting senior leadership in nonprofits, advocacy, or public policy settings is desirable.
Familiarity with project management tools and systems.
Experience with external stakeholder engagement (partners, funders, policymakers).
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.

Benefits

Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000 USD annually, negotiable.
