    The organisation is seeking a creative and strategic communicator with experience in content creation, digital communications, social media management, and visual storytelling.     About the Assistant Manager – Communications Role

    The Assistant Manager – Communications will lead communication activities across Arthan’s climate portfolio, ensuring that programmes, partnerships, campaigns, and events are presented through clear, engaging, and consistent storytelling.

    Working closely with programme and partnership teams, the successful candidate will develop communication strategies, manage digital platforms, produce high-quality content, coordinate campaigns, and oversee visual branding.

    The role is ideal for professionals who enjoy transforming technical climate and development topics into compelling stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

    Key Responsibilities

    Key responsibilities include:

    Social Media Management

    The role involves managing Arthan’s climate-related digital presence by:

    • Developing and maintaining content calendars.
    • Planning, scheduling, and publishing social media content.
    • Managing audience engagement across platforms.
    • Monitoring social media performance and analytics.
    • Optimising content to improve reach and engagement.

    Design and Visual Communication

    Responsibilities include producing visually engaging communication materials while maintaining consistent branding.

    Tasks include:

    • Designing social media graphics.
    • Creating presentations and reports.
    • Developing infographics and newsletters.
    • Producing event branding and promotional materials.
    • Coordinating with external designers and vendors.
    • Ensuring brand consistency across all communication assets.

    Canva will serve as the primary design platform, while experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma will be considered an advantage.

    Content Development and Storytelling

    The Assistant Manager will create and edit content across multiple communication channels.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Writing website content.
    • Producing blogs and newsletters.
    • Developing case studies.
    • Preparing reports and presentations.
    • Writing scripts for short-form videos.
    • Simplifying complex climate and development concepts into engaging narratives.

    The role requires excellent writing skills and the ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.

    Campaigns and Strategic Communications

    The successful applicant will support communication initiatives across organisational programmes and events.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Planning and implementing communication campaigns.
    • Supporting programme launches and strategic initiatives.
    • Coordinating communications for webinars and events.
    • Managing participant-facing communications.
    • Developing event branding and communication materials.
    • Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to ensure successful event delivery.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Applicants should possess between three and six years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related discipline.

    Required qualifications include:

    • Strong English writing and editing skills.
    • Experience managing social media platforms.
    • Advanced Canva design skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills.
    • Attention to visual quality and brand consistency.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Candidates with additional expertise in the following areas will have an advantage:

    • Climate, sustainability, or international development communications.
    • Adobe Creative Suite or Figma.
