Overview
The British Council in Spain is seeking English Language Teachers for its centres in Madrid. This role involves delivering high-quality English language education and promoting cultural relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons for various age groups (5-85).
- Utilize British Council teaching materials effectively.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback.
- Communicate with learners and parents to support learning.
- Participate in team meetings, curriculum development, and administrative tasks.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
- Promote learner autonomy and provide guidance for further studies.
- Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
- University degree
- CELTA or Trinity TESOL certification
- Minimum 2 years of post-certification teaching experience across age groups
- English proficiency equivalent to CEFR C2 level
- Desirable: DELTA or equivalent EFL diploma
- Must have the right to work in Spain permanently.
