    Overview

    The British Council in Spain is seeking English Language Teachers for its centres in Madrid. This role involves delivering high-quality English language education and promoting cultural relations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons for various age groups (5-85).
    • Utilize British Council teaching materials effectively.
    • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback.
    • Communicate with learners and parents to support learning.
    • Participate in team meetings, curriculum development, and administrative tasks.
    • Engage in continuous professional development.
    • Promote learner autonomy and provide guidance for further studies.
    • Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and health and safety standards.

    Requirements

    • University degree
    • CELTA or Trinity TESOL certification
    • Minimum 2 years of post-certification teaching experience across age groups
    • English proficiency equivalent to CEFR C2 level
    • Desirable: DELTA or equivalent EFL diploma
    • Must have the right to work in Spain permanently.
