Overview
CLEAR Global is seeking a part-time Quality Officer to enhance the quality of interpretation and translation services, ensuring vital information access for diverse language communities worldwide. This remote role focuses on developing, implementing, and improving quality management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of quality strategy for interpretation and translation services.
- Design, document, and refine quality processes.
- Serve as a contact for service issues, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze feedback and non-compliance issues to identify trends and facilitate improvements.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics.
- Assist in designing community-specific quality management procedures and tools.
- Support the onboarding, assessment, and monitoring of community members.
- Develop guidelines, checklists, and training materials for community members.
- Create mechanisms for feedback and addressing non-compliance.
- Contribute to training initiatives for community members.
- Report on quality metrics and ensure timely data submission.
- Collaborate with teams to align efforts and support a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- Excellent English command; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- University degree in linguistics, interpretation, translation, international development, project management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with language industry standards, trends, and technologies, especially in quality management.
- Minimum of 2 years in a relevant role within the language industry or non-profit sector; prior experience in interpreting/translation preferred.
- Knowledge of CAT tools and experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) or other language technology products is a plus.
- Proactive, energetic approach with a strong sense of initiative.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Understanding of the importance of language in humanitarian response.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining effective communication.
