    Overview

    The Client Responsiveness and Accountability Mechanism Assistant will support the implementation of IRC’s Community Accountability Feedback Mechanisms, focusing on receiving, documenting, and managing feedback and complaints from communities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive and document feedback and complaints through toll-free telephone systems and other feedback channels.
    • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of all information received.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRC programs and operational areas.
    • Respond to inquiries within assigned mandate and escalate issues as required.
    • Summarize feedback and share with relevant program teams for action.
    • Participate in learning sessions, meetings, and accountability discussions.
    • Conduct preliminary analysis of feedback and complaints.
    • Prepare reports and summaries for internal use.
    • Ensure secure and systematic documentation of all feedback records.
    • Maintain functionality of the toll-free system and ensure continuous service availability.
    • Monitor and manage suggestion boxes and other feedback tools.
    • Report and follow up on technical issues related to feedback systems.
    • Promote awareness of accountability mechanisms among target communities.
    • Train staff and partners on accountability mechanisms and reporting processes.
    • Support program teams in understanding project indicators and feedback integration.
    • Assist in training field staff and enumerators for data collection.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Communication or a related field.
    • At least 1 year of experience managing complaint or feedback mechanisms.
    • Experience in development or humanitarian work is an added advantage.
    • Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
    • Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.
    • Passion for humanitarian and community-focused work.
