Overview
The D. H. Chen Foundation is seeking a purpose-driven, forward-thinking professional to join as Head of Programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the translation of the Foundation’s overall strategy into high-impact institute and programme strategies.
- Support long-term strategic planning with insights, evidence, and sector knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable initiatives aligned with societal needs.
- Design and deliver internal capability-building training to enhance organisational capacity.
- Foster continuous improvement in programme quality and effectiveness.
- Identify, cultivate, and sustain strategic partnerships and networks.
- Engage proactively with partners and stakeholders to support strategic priorities.
- Build, coach, and manage high-performing programme teams.
- Promote professional growth, collaboration, and accountability within teams.
- Oversee research, insight generation, and programme implementation.
- Manage partnerships, funding initiatives, and funding processes.
- Ensure effective monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Strong alignment with the Foundation’s mission, values, and social impact approach.
- Demonstrated passion and understanding of philanthropy, social impact, and community development.
- Proven leadership in team building, talent development, and strategic thinking.
- Experience in programme development, management, and oversight.
- Ability to apply sector knowledge to programme design and implementation.
- Experience in change management is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
