Commercial Counsel @Brex

Overview

Brex is the intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter and move faster in more than 200 markets. The Commercial Counsel will be an integral member of the Legal team, supporting all aspects of the Company's commercial legal efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, coordinating with sales and deal desk.
• Support legal review and negotiation of various inbound commercial contracts, including technology agreements and consulting agreements.
• Drive improvements in commercial contracting processes and develop internal policies.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks and escalate complex issues as necessary.
• Provide legal advice on commercial legal risks and opportunities to cross-functional partners.
• Translate business needs into clear legal terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial law, preferably in-house at a technology company.
• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating complex technology and commercial contracts.
• Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A builder mindset focused on improving internal processes.
• Flexible and open to continuous learning.

Benefits

Compensation ranges from $189,000 to $230,000 USD, dependent on various factors such as location and experience. Equity and other benefits may be included as part of the compensation package.

Location

This is a hybrid role in the United States, with a minimum of three coordinated days in the Salt Lake City office per week.
