Overview
The Communication Officer supports program documentation, storytelling, and knowledge sharing by capturing field insights and producing communication materials that highlight program impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Document activities through field visits, interviews, and observations.
- Capture beneficiary stories, testimonials, and community perspectives.
- Develop success stories and case studies.
- Produce communication materials highlighting program impact.
- Support preparation of reports, briefs, and updates.
- Document lessons learned and best practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing across teams.
- Capture and manage photos and visual content.
- Coordinate with program and MEL teams to ensure accuracy.
- Follow organizational security policies and procedures.
- Engage beneficiaries respectfully and uphold humanitarian standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years experience in communications or documentation in humanitarian or development settings.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills.
- Photography, videography, and design skills.
- Fluency in Hausa.
