Overview
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the storage management and supply of nutrition and medical items while working closely with the field team to ensure proper and timely use of supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with team members and local authorities to align nutrition and health services.
- Continuously update knowledge to adapt to changing contexts.
- Support procurement and delivery of medical and nutrition supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and availability of store equipment.
- Track stock usage and prepare monthly consumption reports.
- Maintain stock records registers and documentation.
- Assist in planning distribution of supplies.
- Conduct physical inventory and report discrepancies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly supply status reports.
- Support training for storekeepers and dispensers.
- Ensure adherence to donor and organizational regulations.
- Communicate effectively to meet project and donor expectations.
- Follow all security policies and procedures.
- Engage with beneficiaries respectfully and professionally.
- Dedicate time to continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Pharmacy or related field.
- Knowledge of drug and nutrition supply management.
- Experience in humanitarian or health nutrition programs.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluency in Hausa or Kanuri is an advantage.
- Experience in logistics and supply chain.
- Must reside in the LGA of assignment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of humanitarian principles.
