Overview

Brex is seeking a Counsel for Employment to join their Legal team. This role involves providing legal guidance and support to Brex’s People team regarding employment matters affecting a global workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide business-minded legal guidance on day-to-day employment issues, including performance management, terminations, recruiting, and wage matters.
• Support the development and implementation of policies and practices for employees and contingent workers.
• Manage employment-related complaints, disputes, and regulatory inquiries.
• Oversee outside legal counsel for employment matters.
• Research and analyze employment laws applicable to Brex’s locations.
• Deliver employment-related training to managers and employees.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in employment law counseling.
• Experience working directly with People/HR functions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Juris Doctor (JD) and bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
