Overview
Lyft is looking for a bright, energetic, and self-motivated attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience to join their expanding Legal Team. This role involves actively overseeing litigation and providing legal guidance across various departments to address novel legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage legal matters focusing on personal injury cases.
- Collaborate with Legal Team members to develop and implement litigation strategies that align with Lyft’s business objectives.
- Handle all aspects of litigation including discovery, motion practice, and trial strategies.
- Analyze litigation matters to participate in resolution strategy decisions.
- Oversee outside counsel management, including case management and budgeting.
- Advise management on litigation matters.
- Provide legal advice to cross-functional teams.
- Communicate effectively with insurance carriers and third parties.
Requirements
- 5+ years of practice at a leading law firm or in-house.
- J.D. from a top-tier law school.
- Active member of a state bar in good standing.
- Experience advising technology clients preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with complex workloads.
- Understanding of the transportation and ridesharing industries.
