Brex is an intelligent finance platform that enables companies to spend smarter and move faster. The company is looking for a Credit Card Counsel to help build and improve its spend management software products, providing legal advice and ensuring compliance in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the embedded legal partner to engineering, product, and design teams building spend management software.
• Provide actionable advice on requirements and best practices for software features.
• Advise on regulatory and commercial implications of product design and architecture.
• Support cross-functional partners on regulatory questions regarding credit, lending, and data privacy.
• Draft and maintain customer agreements, terms, and disclosures for software products.
• Assist with data handling and partner arrangements related to product launches.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in law firms or technology/fintech companies, focusing on credit card, lending, and commercial matters.
• Familiarity with credit, lending, and card laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ownership mentality and sound judgment in complex matters.
• Law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work fast-paced environments.
