Credit Card Counsel @Brex

Overview

Brex is seeking a Credit Card Counsel to join their Legal team, which is focused on helping the company grow responsibly while providing strategic advice and guidance. The role involves building and improving Brex's spend management software products with an emphasis on compliance involving complex regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an embedded legal partner to engineering, product, and design teams, advising in real-time as features are designed and built.
• Provide actionable advice on existing and new spend management software features.
• Advise on regulatory and commercial implications of product architecture, data flows, automation, AI features, integrations, and feature design.
• Support data handling, integration, and partner arrangements relevant to product launches.
• Draft, update, and maintain customer agreements and disclosures for spend management software products.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in law firms and technology or fintech companies, advising on credit card, lending, and commercial matters.
• Familiarity with credit, lending, and card laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ownership mentality with sound judgment in complex matters.
• Law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
