The successful candidate will be expected to strengthen nursing systems, promote evidence-based practices, support nursing leaders, and use clinical data to improve decision-making across the network.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing will provide strategic direction and mentorship to nursing leaders working across CURE’s international hospital network.

Major responsibilities include:

Mentoring and supporting nursing leaders across multiple countries.
Promoting consistency, accountability, and clinical excellence.
Leading nursing best practices and standardising patient care.
Strengthening patient safety and clinical quality systems.
Supporting improvements in clinical outcomes.
Developing nursing leadership and workforce capacity.
Implementing competency development and mentorship programmes.
Supporting succession planning for future nursing leaders.
Improving nursing workflows and operational processes.
Supporting workforce planning and staffing strategies.
Optimising patient flow.
Using clinical data to strengthen operational and clinical decision-making.
Collaborating with medical, quality, human resources, information technology, and hospital leadership teams.

The role will require strong systems thinking and the ability to translate strategic priorities into practical improvements across different healthcare environments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

CURE International is seeking a highly experienced nursing leader with substantial clinical and management experience.

Applicants must have:

A master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Administration, or a related field, such as an MSN or MHA.
At least 10 years of progressive nursing experience.
At least five years of experience in senior nursing leadership or a multi-site leadership role.
International leadership experience in cross-cultural or resource-limited healthcare environments.
Demonstrated ability to implement clinical and operational change at scale.
Experience leading end-user implementation of EMR or EHR systems.
Experience implementing patient safety and quality accreditation frameworks.
Registered Nurse status with an active, unrestricted licence in the applicant’s country of residence.
Eligibility for licensure or registration in the country of assignment.
Fluency in English.

French proficiency is considered desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications and experience may strengthen an application for the position.

A Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing Leadership.
Experience in global health.
Experience in pediatric surgical care.
Experience working in resource-limited healthcare settings.

Strong clinical quality improvement experience.
Knowledge of nursing informatics.
Strong understanding of patient safety frameworks.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
Demonstrated emotional intelligence and change leadership ability.
