    The Drug-free and Preventive Healthcare Organization (DAPHO) is inviting applications for the position of Data Collector in Akwa Ibom State. This is a part-time contract role offering a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in public health, research, and community-based interventions in Nigeria.

    DAPHO is a health-focused organization established with the vision of improving productivity and welfare among individuals affected by drug use. Since its formation in 2013 (and official registration in 2015), the organization has been committed to delivering impactful interventions in areas such as substance abuse prevention, sexual and reproductive health, and broader preventive healthcare, all through a human rights-based approach. Notably, DAPHO serves multiple regions across Nigeria.

    📅 Duration: 3 months (with possible extension based on performance)

    🔍 Role Overview
    The Data Collector will be responsible for gathering accurate and timely data from health facilities and communities using approved Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) tools. The role plays a critical part in identifying service gaps, monitoring healthcare delivery, and supporting program improvement.

    📌 Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine data collection at assigned health facilities and community levels
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of collected data
    • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
    • Identify barriers such as service gaps, stockouts, stigma, and discrimination
    • Document and report findings promptly to the Community-Based Organization (CBO)
    • Escalate critical issues to the Program Officer and M&E Officer
    • Support follow-up on unresolved service delivery challenges
    • Submit timely reports and attend regular review and feedback meetings

    🎯 Requirements

    • Minimum of National Diploma (ND) or higher qualification in Nigeria or an equivalent credential
    • Must be a PWUD/PLHIV or demonstrate strong understanding and friendliness toward these communities
    • Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel) and data collection platforms
    • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work across diverse communities
    • Previous experience in data collection, research, or health-related roles is an added advantage
    • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing project needs
