Overview
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF Belgium) is seeking a Data Entry Operator to manage and enter medical data accurately into the mission database while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Entering patient data such as visit dates, prescriptions, and medical records in accordance with MSF protocols
- Compiling and verifying data from MSF facilities and partner health centres
- Identifying and retrieving missing or incomplete data
- Updating patient records and correcting errors where necessary
- Performing regular data backups to ensure data security
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all data recording systems and files
- Reporting data-related issues to supervisors
- Preparing statistical reports for the medical team when required
- Ensuring confidentiality of all patient and operational data
- Daily entry of patient data from ATFC, ITFC, and ICCM registers into Excel databases
- Daily collection of records from all assigned health locations
- Collaboration with the Medical Data Processing Officer (MDPO) on data management
- Identifying and resolving issues related to data collection and quality
- Ensuring standardised data collection with minimal errors or missing information
Requirements
- Minimum of Secondary School Education (required)
- Knowledge of Statistics or Data Analysis is an added advantage
- English (essential); Knowledge of Hausa and/or Fulani (desirable)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and use data recording tools such as Fuchia and EpiInfo
