Director, Business Development @Docker

Overview

Docker is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Business Development to build and lead their global Business Development Representative (BDR) organization. This foundational leadership role focuses on pipeline generation, field alignment, and go-to-market execution, managing a distributed team across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and improve the global BDR organization, overseeing inbound and outbound pipeline generation.
• Guide go-to-market decisions as a member of the Revenue Operations Leadership Team.
• Review and refine the BDR playbook including outbound sequencing and qualification criteria.
• Develop and retain a high-performing team of BDR managers and contributors.
• Manage pipeline coverage and hold segments accountable to targets.
• Collaborate with Marketing on initiatives and conversion strategies.
• Partner with Sales leadership to ensure effective handoffs and accountability for pipeline quality.
• Enhance onboarding and skills development programs in partnership with Enablement.
• Track and improve key performance metrics such as pipeline generated and conversion rates.

Requirements

• 8+ years of sales or business development experience, with at least 4 years leading BDR or SDR teams in a B2B SaaS setting.
• Proven track record in building scalable BDR functions with successful pipeline management.
• Strong understanding of modern prospecting tools and outbound sales motions.
• Data-driven approach to managing pipeline models and performance assessment.
• Experience in high-growth environments and cross-geography sales.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
• Familiarity with developer tooling or AI infrastructure is a plus.
