Overview

Twilio is seeking an Emerging Fraud Researcher to identify and analyze emerging fraud trends across its network, including voice, messaging, and email channels. The role is remote within the US, excluding certain states.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent research using AI tools to identify novel fraud trends.
Collaborate with data scientists to create machine learning models for fraud detection.
Stress test the network for vulnerabilities.
Analyze messaging and voice traffic to detect patterns of fraudulent activity.
Develop proactive fraud mitigation strategies.
Work with teams to refine detection models and reduce false positives.
Investigate high-impact fraud incidents and provide actionable recommendations.
Monitor industry trends in fraud and bot detection.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in fraud investigations, trust & safety, or security analysis in high-growth tech environments.
Advanced skills in complex data analysis, SQL, and data visualization tools.
Track record of designing proactive fraud mitigation strategies.
Strong leadership in cross-functional incident response.
Experience in CPaaS, telecommunications, or payments is a plus.
Familiarity with machine learning concepts is desired.
Certifications like CFE or CISSP are beneficial.
