    Overview

    The European Science Foundation is seeking an experienced Mission Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and coordination of its Grant Evaluation operations. This full-time, 12-month contract position offers the potential for extension.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Grant Evaluations Operations Manager in developing and coordinating evaluation procedures.
    • Standardise and harmonise evaluation processes and develop guidelines.
    • Provide training and technical support to staff involved in evaluations.
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting and liaise with Finance for budget management.
    • Develop and maintain databases, workflows, and procedures for evaluations.
    • Coordinate IT developments related to evaluation systems.
    • Support contract development, budgeting, and resource planning.
    • Supervise evaluation operations and oversee project delivery.
    • Act as the primary administrative contact for external partners and evaluation actors.
    • Ensure quality standards are met across all evaluation activities.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with over 5 years’ experience in an international environment, preferably in a scientific organisation.
    • Proven administrative and project management skills.
    • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
    • Proficiency in MS Office tools and web-based systems.
    • Knowledge of scientific project and staff management.
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural setting.
    • Experience in grant evaluation processes and calls for tenders.
    • Financial and budgetary control knowledge.
    • Proactive, responsible, and innovative mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and mentor colleagues.

    Benefits

    The role is a full-time, 12-month contract with a possibility of extension.
