Overview
The European Science Foundation is seeking an experienced Mission Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and coordination of its Grant Evaluation operations. This full-time, 12-month contract position offers the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Grant Evaluations Operations Manager in developing and coordinating evaluation procedures.
- Standardise and harmonise evaluation processes and develop guidelines.
- Provide training and technical support to staff involved in evaluations.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and liaise with Finance for budget management.
- Develop and maintain databases, workflows, and procedures for evaluations.
- Coordinate IT developments related to evaluation systems.
- Support contract development, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Supervise evaluation operations and oversee project delivery.
- Act as the primary administrative contact for external partners and evaluation actors.
- Ensure quality standards are met across all evaluation activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with over 5 years’ experience in an international environment, preferably in a scientific organisation.
- Proven administrative and project management skills.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and web-based systems.
- Knowledge of scientific project and staff management.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural setting.
- Experience in grant evaluation processes and calls for tenders.
- Financial and budgetary control knowledge.
- Proactive, responsible, and innovative mindset.
- Ability to work independently and mentor colleagues.
