Overview

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a Facility and Store Assistant for its station in Kano, Nigeria. This role supports the effective management of fuel and store items on a two-year renewable contract.

Key Responsibilities

Receive fuel and other materials delivered to the store.
Measure fuel receipts using a flow meter to confirm quantity and quality.
Issue fuel and store items to institute vehicles and generators based on approved slips and vouchers.
Maintain accurate records of stored items and prepare monthly usage reports.
Request replenishment of stock items to prevent depletion.
Assist with asset listing and ensure asset records are properly maintained.

Requirements

BSc or HND in Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply, Accounting, or a related field.
At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Strong record-keeping skills.
Knowledge of store management practices.
Ability to inspect incoming deliveries for discrepancies or damage.
Competence in inventory audits and warehousing coordination.
Effective communication and computer literacy.
