Field Application Engineer @Real-Time Innovations

Overview

As a Field Application Engineer at Real-Time Innovations (RTI), you will work directly with customers to solve complex technical challenges in mission-critical, intelligent distributed systems. This role involves engaging with advanced programs across defense and other critical industries, understanding technical requirements, and helping teams adopt RTI’s leading software architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Help teams building advanced defense systems choose their future software architecture.
• Explain RTI technology to executives, architects, program managers, and developers.
• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes and demonstrations with prospects.
• Develop sales strategies with your account manager teammate.
• Communicate customer technical requirements to Product Management and engineering.
• Engage with the online developer community as an RTI and domain expert.
• Present RTI’s technology in published technical articles and at speaking engagements.

Requirements

• BS or higher in engineering or computer science; MS preferred.
• 5+ years in application-facing technical professional services or sales.
• Experience with C/C++/Python/Java/.NET.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of OS and network concepts (UDP, Multicast, etc.).
• Self-motivated with a sales attitude; comfortable in a team and with minimal supervision.
• US Citizenship required due to government regulations.
