Brex is the intelligent finance platform that empowers companies to spend smarter and move faster. The Fraud Operations Associate role involves managing fraud operations to help the company scale safely and sustainably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily workflows related to transaction fraud, first-party fraud, and account takeovers.
- Own and work on associate-level queues assigned to the Fraud Operations team.
- Develop and implement scalable operational processes for fraud management.
- Make risk-based decisions on high-value/risk transactions and account offboardings.
- Respond to escalations related to fraud and streamline operational workflows.
- Conduct root cause analysis of fraud incidents.
- Own projects on the Fraud Ops roadmap with full autonomy.
- Collaborate with Policy, Data Science, and Engineering teams to improve tooling for fraud operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a fraud, risk, or related operations role.
- 1+ year of experience leading projects or workstreams.
- Ability to use data for investigation and decision-making.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a team on projects and process improvements.
- Bonus: Familiarity with SQL or data query tools and experience in fintech, payments, or banking industries.
Benefits
The expected salary range for this role is $76,800 - $96,000 CAD, depending on various factors including location, skills, and experience. Equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided.
Location
This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, Canada, requiring at least three coordinated days in the office each week.
