GiveWell is hiring Researchers to help direct funding toward cost-effective global health and poverty alleviation programs in a fully remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Evidence Analysis & Modeling: Review existing research, build cost-effectiveness models.
- Grant Evaluation: Assess funding proposals by engaging with organizations and estimating impact.
- Solving Complex Problems: Develop creative, evidence-based approaches under uncertainty.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with academics, global health experts, and NGOs.
- Publishing Insights: Publish reports and blog posts explaining findings and funding decisions.
Requirements
- Strong background in quantitative fields (e.g., economics, public health, policy).
- Expertise in analyzing and synthesizing research.
- Master’s degree with relevant experience or a PhD is typical, though equivalent experience is also accepted.
- No cover letter required for application.
Benefits
- Salary: $162,400 (NYC/San Francisco Bay Area), $147,300 (other U.S. locations), and comparable international salaries.
