    The organisation is seeking a highly motivated finance professional who will contribute to strategic financial management and support investment decision-making within its Investment Finance Division.

    Position Purpose

    The Fund Financial Accountant will serve as an important member of the Investment Finance Division and will be responsible for providing strategic financial support to investment teams.

    The successful candidate will focus on delivering:

    • Financial reporting
    • Accounting support
    • Investment analysis

    Key Responsibilities

    Trade Processing

    The successful candidate will be expected to:

    • Ensure all trades are properly executed and reviewed
    • Reconcile transactions accurately across reporting systems
    • Verify correct price loading across financial reporting systems

    Reconciliation Management

    Responsibilities include:

    • Performing cash reconciliations
    • Conducting scrip reconciliations
    • Reviewing reconciliation exceptions
    • Resolving discrepancies within reconciliation cycles

    Corporate Actions Administration

    The role requires:

    • Processing corporate actions accurately
    • Reviewing fund position changes
    • Ensuring correct valuation adjustments are reflected

    Reporting and Client Service

    Duties include:

    • Preparing scheduled portfolio reports
    • Delivering ad hoc stakeholder reporting
    • Escalating and resolving material financial issues
    • Managing audit-related reporting processes
    • Calculating monthly management fees
    • Processing payment releases
    • Supporting internal and external audit requirements

    Team Leadership Support

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Supervising Junior Fund Accountants
    • Reviewing junior team outputs before final submission
    • Supporting internal process improvement initiatives

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must possess:

    • BCom Honours Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 5–7 years relevant professional experience
    • Experience within Asset Management or Financial Services sector preferred

    The following qualifications will be advantageous:

    • Chartered Accountant designation CA(SA)
    • Chartered Financial Analyst designation CFA
