Global Energy Monitor is hiring a Chief Development Officer, a remote position focused on developing and executing fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to develop and implement GEM’s long-term fundraising strategy.
• Set annual and multi-year fundraising targets and lead initiatives across individual, foundation, and institutional funding streams.
• Build and manage relationships with high-net-worth individuals and major donors.
• Engage with board members to enhance fundraising efforts and accountability.
• Translate GEM’s data into compelling narratives for donor engagement.
• Oversee proposal development, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Over 10 years of demonstrated fundraising leadership.
• At least 2 years of experience supervising staff.
• Fluency in English; applicants must be U.S. residents.
