Overview
The Global Methane Hub is hiring a Communications Associate to support project management and coordination within the communications team during a maternity leave period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing communications campaigns and initiatives
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
- Collaborate with program teams to develop narratives and case studies
- Prepare materials for donor communications aligning with organizational messaging
- Organize team meetings, agendas, and documentation
- Maintain digital filing systems for content and assets
- Support planning and organization of virtual/in-person events and media engagements
- Coordinate logistics for events and prepare presentation materials
- Assist with managing communications grants, content review, and internal processes
- Maintain media lists and contact databases
- Prepare press kits and media materials
- Track media coverage and compile weekly press clips and impact reports
- Monitor media trends relevant to GMH’s mission
- Edit and publish content across websites, social media, newsletters, and blogs
- Track content performance, analyze engagement, and provide insights
- Cultivate relationships with online communities, influencers, and media partners
- Respond to inquiries and foster positive engagement
- Monitor social media trends and propose innovative strategies
- Ensure social media platforms reflect GMH’s mission and values
- Monitor budget for projects and events
- Prepare expense reports and ensure compliance
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years’ experience in communications, media relations, project management, or related fields
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and content management platforms
- Understanding of climate issues and non-profit sector dynamics globally
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders, especially in developing countries
- Culturally aware and sensitive to global communication nuances
- Passionate about climate change solutions
