Overview

GOAL is seeking a Finance Coordinator to oversee all Mastercard Foundation-funded activities and support the finance department's operations, ensuring financial oversight, compliance, and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial oversight of consortia and downstream partners, including report review, expenditure verification, and disbursement coordination.
Support financial proposal development, donor reporting, and grant compliance.
Oversee day-to-day financial operations in GOAL Uganda, including management accounts and fund requests.
Coordinate audits and compliance reviews for statutory, project, and donor-specific audits.
Supervise and mentor finance staff, promoting teamwork and capacity building.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Administration.
Fully qualified CPA(U), ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience.
At least 5 years managing large-scale international development programs or consortia.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, monitoring, and financial risk management.
Experience with Power Query, SQL Server, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is desirable.
Experience working with donors such as the Mastercard Foundation is desirable.
Background in agriculture, women’s economic empowerment, or refugee inclusion programming is desirable.
