Overview

The Head of Regulatory Affairs at Brex will lead the company's engagement with federal and state regulators, ensuring compliance and proactive management of regulatory commitments. Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with regulatory and supervisory staff.
• Oversee execution of regulatory exams and supervisory engagements.
• Build and maintain program management infrastructure for regulatory commitments.
• Identify potential risk areas and advise on corrective actions.
• Provide strategic support to senior management regarding regulatory matters.
• Synthesize trends and drive internal awareness of focus areas.
• Partner with Capital One teams on regulatory workstreams.
• Develop processes and reporting for regulatory posture visibility.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 8+ years of experience in banking, financial services, risk management, or regulatory agencies.
• 5+ years of experience with banking regulators and regulatory policy.
• Experience supporting projects with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of commercial financial products and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to lead with empathy and work in a dynamic environment.
