Overview

The Head of Regulatory Affairs at Brex will lead the company's interactions with federal and state regulators, ensuring compliance with regulations and managing relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with Brex business functions and regulatory staff.
• Lead preparation and execution of regulatory exams and engagements.
• Develop program management infrastructure for regulatory commitments.
• Identify risk areas and advise on corrective actions.
• Provide strategic support to senior management regarding the regulatory environment.
• Synthesize regulatory trends and internal awareness of focus areas.
• Collaborate with Capital One teams on regulatory workstreams.
• Develop scalable processes and reporting for regulatory posture.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 8+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or related fields.
• 5+ years working with banking regulators and regulatory policy.
• Significant experience in program management with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of commercial financial products and associated regulatory frameworks.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to lead with empathy and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Team player mentality.

Benefits
