Overview

The Health Officer (Supply & Logistics) provides technical, operational, and administrative support to UNICEF's health programming in Nigeria, focusing on the effective delivery of essential medicines and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct and update situation analysis for supply chain and logistics packages for health programs.
Research and report on development trends in health commodity value chains.
Provide technical support to the logistics component of health systems strengthening.
Support the development, planning, execution, management, and implementation of health programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Additional qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health or related social science field are an advantage.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, or administration.
Understanding of development and humanitarian work is an asset.
Emergency experience is an advantage.
Health supply chain management experience is an advantage.
Skills: Good analytical and negotiating skills, ability to manage resources, supervise staff, work in a multicultural environment, adaptability, strategic thinking, and knowledge of modern supply chain management.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language or a local language is an asset.
