Overview

This position offers an opportunity to coordinate humanitarian and development operations in the Palorinya Refugee Settlement in Uganda, managing various food assistance and livelihood programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project implementation in alignment with WFP Field Level Agreements.
Manage financial and administrative systems for humanitarian resources.
Supervise sector teams working in food distribution, cash assistance, nutrition, and agribusiness.
Ensure accountability and compliance with organizational and donor standards.
Coordinate with WFP, local authorities, and humanitarian partners.
Represent LWF in coordination meetings at settlement and district levels.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely reporting.
Identify and address operational risks and challenges.
Participate in recruitment processes and senior management activities.

Requirements

A university degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Development Economics, Community Development, or related fields.
Relevant training/understanding of the Project Cycle Management approach in humanitarian programming.
At least three years of progressive experience in development or humanitarian programme management.
Experience managing multi-sector humanitarian projects.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, proposal writing, and donor reporting experience.
Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office and digital communication tools.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
