Overview
The position of Regional Health Specialist within Humanity & Inclusion represents a strategic leadership role focused on advancing inclusive and equitable health systems across East, Central, and Southern Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of regional health strategies.
- Provide technical guidance across programme cycles, including needs assessments and monitoring.
- Promote integrated approaches across health sectors.
- Conduct field missions and audits to maintain programme standards.
- Monitor regional trends and identify strategic collaboration opportunities.
- Support the development of high-quality proposals for funding.
- Establish systems for documenting lessons learned and best practices.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, global health, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ field experience, preferably in East, Central, or Southern Africa.
- Strong understanding of social determinants of health and health equity.
- Proven skills in strategy development, project management, and capacity building.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Languages: English (mandatory), French (desirable).
