Overview

The position of Regional Health Specialist within Humanity & Inclusion represents a strategic leadership role focused on advancing inclusive and equitable health systems across East, Central, and Southern Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of regional health strategies.
• Provide technical guidance across programme cycles, including needs assessments and monitoring.
• Promote integrated approaches across health sectors.
• Conduct field missions and audits to maintain programme standards.
• Monitor regional trends and identify strategic collaboration opportunities.
• Support the development of high-quality proposals for funding.
• Establish systems for documenting lessons learned and best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in public health, global health, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ field experience, preferably in East, Central, or Southern Africa.
• Strong understanding of social determinants of health and health equity.
• Proven skills in strategy development, project management, and capacity building.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Languages: English (mandatory), French (desirable).
