Overview

This position offers an opportunity to become a Communications Officer with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), focusing on improving internal communications, knowledge management systems, and enhancing external visibility regarding data and technology-driven humanitarian programs.

Key Responsibilities

Redesign METAL’s internal knowledge hub for improved usability.
Audit and organise existing resources including tools, guides, and learning materials.
Create a unified communications strategy consolidating existing approaches.
Produce thought leadership content and coordinate with web teams to maintain platforms.
Develop internal communication tools and produce foundational content to introduce METAL’s work.
Coordinate meetings and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

Proven experience leading communications strategies in global organisations.
Strong background in knowledge management or intranet redesign.
Excellent writing and editorial skills.
Experience in managing digital content platforms.
Fluency in English.

Benefits

Compensation between $73,000 – $82,000 based on experience and location.
