Overview
Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa) is seeking candidates for Administrative Assistant and Store Keeper positions. These roles support daily operations and program implementation within a humanitarian context.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Assistant
- Coordinate travel and accommodation for staff.
- Organize training, workshops, and meetings.
- Manage office maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Take weekly staff meeting minutes.
- Maintain filing systems, MOUs, and asset registers.
- Monitor and control office expenses and budget.
- Supervise office cleaners and manage supplier accounts.
Store Keeper
- Manage inventory, ensuring efficient storage, tracking, and distribution of supplies.
- Maintain warehouse security and stock management.
- Update stock records and ensure proper item storage using FIFO principles.
- Perform physical stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Ensure safety and prevent damage, theft, or deterioration of items.
Requirements
Administrative Assistant
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Management, or related field.
- 2–3 years of proven administrative experience, preferably in non-profit or humanitarian settings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Store Keeper
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, ideally in humanitarian or nonprofit contexts.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.
