Overview
Lindii Peace Foundation (LPF) is seeking to fill two positions: Program Assistant and CATI Team Members in Gusau LGA, Zamfara State. LPF is a non-profit organization focused on humanitarian and development assistance to vulnerable populations.
Program Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, supervise, and support LPF humanitarian field activities.
- Supervise field volunteers and allocate tasks.
- Monitor activity quality and ensure adherence to LPF standards.
- Support the monitoring of WASH, nutrition, health, and education interventions.
- Coordinate hygiene promotion activities and community mobilization.
- Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.
- Collect data for donor reporting and proposal development.
- Liaise with camp officials, community leaders, and local actors.
- Represent LPF in field-level coordination meetings.
- Ensure volunteers comply with LPF policies, including Child Safeguarding and PSEAH.
- Report safeguarding or protection concerns immediately.
- Support procurement and logistics arrangements for field activities.
Requirements
- SSCE, Post-SSCE Certificate, NCE, National Diploma, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, Education, Nutrition, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in humanitarian field operations (e.g., WASH, nutrition, health, education, protection).
- Experience supervising community volunteers.
- Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with vulnerable groups.
- Understanding of gender equality, disability inclusion, accountability, and protection mainstreaming.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to challenging field conditions.
- Proficiency in Hausa or other local languages spoken in Zamfara State is an advantage.
- High sense of accountability and integrity, teamwork, problem-solving skills, respect for cultural diversity, and commitment to humanitarian principles.

CATI Team Members
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct hygiene promotion sessions in focus group discussions and community meetings.
- Carry out house-to-house visits to promote hygiene practices.
- Support WASH committees in disinfection campaigns.
- Collect demographic data.
- Support beneficiary targeting and promote effective use of latrines and safe water.
- Assist the WASH team during distribution of hygiene and sanitation kits.
- Deliver hygiene promotion messages through various methods.
- Conduct child-to-child hygiene promotion activities.
- Distribute and ensure proper utilization of IEC materials.
- Conduct follow-up visits to ensure participation of all groups.
- Maintain records of hygiene sessions and beneficiary information.
- Report findings, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Work closely with community committees.
- Participate in mass public health campaigns.
- Comply with LPF standards and maintain professional conduct.
- Adhere to LPF’s Code of Conduct and report any cases of sexual exploitation and abuse.
Requirements
- SSCE and Post-SSCE certificates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- National Diploma or NCE with at least one year of experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of local languages and proficiency in English is an advantage.
