Overview
RYSE is seeking a Part-time Development Coordinator to support grant writing and fundraising initiatives aimed at advancing their mission of serving refugee youth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in achieving fundraising goals through grant applications, sponsorships, and donations.
- Lead grant writing, reporting, and maintaining a calendar of deadlines.
- Research and cultivate relationships with foundations, donors, and grant opportunities.
- Document and track current and prospective grants.
- Contribute to the development of RYSE’s long-term fund development strategy.
- Attend monthly fundraising committee meetings and regular meetings with the Executive Director.
- Represent RYSE at events, workshops, and conferences to enhance fundraising strategies.
- Support bookkeeping by tracking income and deposits.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in storytelling for grant proposals.
- Passion for fundraising, nonprofit development, and community service.
- Experience working with diverse communities, especially in education or refugee services, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, self-management, and data literacy.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel; experience with social media, marketing, or fundraising software is a plus.
- Willingness to work some weekends (<5/year) and attend after-hours meetings.
Benefits
- $25/hour for up to 20 hours per week.
