    Overview

    The Grants & Administration Coordinator serves as the expert owner of grants and contracts processing, acting as the primary contact for all grant-related activities within the UMI Fund.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead preparation, review, and finalization of grants, contracts, and agreements.
    • Ensure accurate and efficient processing within organizational systems.
    • Act as primary contact for agreement execution and management.
    • Ensure all agreements adhere to organizational policies and legal requirements.
    • Identify and resolve compliance issues proactively.
    • Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.
    • Manage sensitive grant data securely and in accordance with GDPR and local laws.
    • Maintain comprehensive records in shared databases.
    • Generate reports and provide data insights to leadership and finance teams.
    • Work with internal teams—fundraising, finance, programme, and grants administration.
    • Liaise with external partners including donors, grantees, vendors, and auditors.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in climate philanthropy, grant management, or international development.
    • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Proficiency with CRM and grant management software.
    • Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection.
    • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
    • Discretion, cultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
    • Tech-savvy with a proactive approach to process improvement.
