Overview
The Grants & Administration Coordinator serves as the expert owner of grants and contracts processing, acting as the primary contact for all grant-related activities within the UMI Fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preparation, review, and finalization of grants, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure accurate and efficient processing within organizational systems.
- Act as primary contact for agreement execution and management.
- Ensure all agreements adhere to organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and resolve compliance issues proactively.
- Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary.
- Manage sensitive grant data securely and in accordance with GDPR and local laws.
- Maintain comprehensive records in shared databases.
- Generate reports and provide data insights to leadership and finance teams.
- Work with internal teams—fundraising, finance, programme, and grants administration.
- Liaise with external partners including donors, grantees, vendors, and auditors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in climate philanthropy, grant management, or international development.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Proficiency with CRM and grant management software.
- Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Discretion, cultural sensitivity, and excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solution-focused.
- Tech-savvy with a proactive approach to process improvement.
