Overview

This permanent opportunity as a Liaison Officer at the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) offers a chance to engage directly with communities and stakeholders while promoting awareness of communications and postal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement advocacy programmes in line with ICASA’s business plan.
• Identify potential risks affecting advocacy initiatives and develop mitigation strategies.
• Build partnerships with regulatory bodies, government departments, and other stakeholders.
• Secure support from municipalities and traditional leaders for outreach campaigns.
• Coordinate logistics and ensure the successful delivery of advocacy events.
• Prepare and present information on ICASA regulations, consumer rights, and regulatory developments.
• Educate communities about communications and postal sector regulations.
• Promote ICASA’s brand and public image through effective stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6); or Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Communication, Public Relations, ICT, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Law.
• At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in stakeholder relations, customer service, regulatory affairs, or public sector engagement.
• Experience within the ICT, postal, or regulatory sectors will be an added advantage.
• A valid non-endorsed driver’s licence.
