    Première Urgence Internationale (PUI), an international humanitarian organization with over 40 years of experience, is currently recruiting for the position of Logistics Coordinator based in Abuja, Nigeria. This is a fixed-term contract role for a duration of 9 months. Working in Abuja offers unique exposure to international relief operations.

    PUI operates in 22 countries across five continents and supports nearly 6 million beneficiaries annually with a budget exceeding €100 million. The organization delivers integrated humanitarian assistance across key sectors including Health, Nutrition, and Protection, with a strong presence in Nigeria since 2016.

    Position Overview
    The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations across a broad geographic area in a complex humanitarian context. This role is based in Abuja and requires managing a large logistics team and ensuring efficient supply chain, procurement, and operational support to enable program implementation.

    Key Responsibilities
    The successful candidate will lead logistics planning and coordination, ensuring the smooth execution of procurement, transport, warehousing, and supply chain activities. They will supervise logistics staff, manage resources effectively, and ensure compliance with organizational and donor regulations.

    The role also involves strengthening logistics systems, supporting field operations, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies, particularly in challenging and unstable environments. Abuja serves as a vital hub for these activities.

    Requirements

    Education:
    A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Transport, or a related field is required.

    Experience:
    Candidates must have at least two years of experience in logistics within the humanitarian sector, along with proven management experience. Previous experience with Première Urgence Internationale is considered an added advantage. Experience working in Abuja is highly valued.

    Skills:
    Applicants should demonstrate strong management, organizational, and reporting skills, along with proficiency in ICT tools. A solid understanding of procurement and supply chain processes in humanitarian settings is essential. Experience in medical supply chains and importation/customs processes is an added advantage.

    Qualities:
    The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure in unstable environments. Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are required, along with the ability to delegate effectively and manage teams.

    Languages:
    Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages such as French, Arabic, or Spanish is considered an asset.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Monthly gross salary: €2,650 – €3,130 (depending on experience)
    • Additional seniority bonus: €50 per semester
    • Comprehensive insurance coverage (medical, healthcare, repatriation)

    • Daily living allowance (per diem)
    • Break policy: 5 working days at 3 and 9 months, plus allowance
    • Paid leave: 5 weeks annually, with return flight every 6 months
