Job Purpose
To render secretariat support services to the Deputy Director General (DDG).
Minimum Requirements
- Three-year tertiary qualification in Management Assistant, Secretarial Studies at NQF Level 6, or an equivalent qualification recognised by SAQA.
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of prescripts and policies.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer relations and telephone etiquette.

2. District Coordinator: Provincial Council on AIDS

Job Purpose
To coordinate and monitor the implementation of the District Multi-Sectoral Implementation Plan (PIP) on HIV, TB and STIs.
Minimum Requirements
- Three-year appropriate tertiary qualification at NQF Level 6 or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of database management.
- Knowledge of HIV strategies, legislation and policy frameworks.
- Understanding of the South African and Provincial HIV and AIDS environment.
- Knowledge of Public Service legislative frameworks.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Reporting and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobilise and coordinate stakeholders for multi-sectoral responses to HIV, TB and STIs.
- Strengthen public-private partnerships.
- Provide secretariat services to the District AIDS Council.
- Monitor implementation of district interventions and plans.
- Support and monitor civil society participation.
