Overview
MAGENTA is seeking a Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Expert for a six-month remote consultancy to strengthen immunization uptake in Vanuatu, Samoa, and Tonga through behavioural science-informed strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of existing immunization communication materials and behavioral studies.
- Analyze behavioral drivers and barriers influencing vaccine uptake and community perceptions.
- Support the creation of an SBC toolkit framework based on behavioral science principles.
- Develop or contribute to country-specific communication strategies and messaging guidance.
- Design RCCE approaches and community engagement tools.
- Produce communication materials for social media, radio, posters, and FAQs.
- Participate in consultations and validation workshops with partners.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) or health communication.
- Proven experience in immunization campaigns, public health communication, or vaccine confidence initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing behavior change strategies, communication toolkits, and Social and Behaviour Change interventions.
- Previous collaboration with UN agencies, NGOs, or Ministries of Health is an advantage.
- Mandatory experience working in the Pacific region, particularly within community health or public health programs.
Benefits
Remuneration: USD $400 per day, up to 100 working days per year.
Location
Remote, with potential travel to Vanuatu, Samoa, and Tonga.
